Javier Cortes
CEO / Partner

Javier is the CEO/PARTNER at KATZ INTELLIGENCE owning 22 years of experience in M&A due diligence, deal sourcing, complex litigation matters and helping firms to connect with key decision makers (governments and corporations). In our nine years journey we are known for being complex problems solvers, combining intelligence and problem solving strategies that make us unique in our field.

He is a Harvard Business School Alumnus from the executive MBA, worked 14 years at the Department of Defense and the private defense industry across units such as dual-use technology and export control issues, or managing high technology projects. In 2006 he joined Kroll Inc, one of the world´s largest due diligence and investigations firms until 2016. At Kroll he was an MD responsible for Spain, Portugal and the Middle east region for due diligence, investigations and litigation support services. His main clients have been Fortune 100 firms, larger PE and hedge funds firms, global banks and industrial firms on the Middle east.

He founded his own firm as an alternative to larger firms, faster response and cost-effective specialized services. The firm has a reputation of solving complex, often deadlocked assignments, and provide options to solve problems in a short period of time.

Javier worked in M&A due diligence and corporate investigation assignments across Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia Pacific, completing more than 400 due diligence processes, and 200 litigation investigations for prestigious law firms in five continents. He worked and lived in Saudi Arabia, Latin America region, and the UK, also led projects across USA, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
